3 Things To Do Before Screen Printing In Large Quantities
For screen printers we always suggest printing in large quantities to save our clients money. When clothing is on the press often times short runs propose more of a challenge for screen printing companies. It can slow down production time due to switching off inks and packaging. This is not why we suggest large printing runs. Here are 3 things to do before screen printing in large quantities.
1-Samples. Did you know that you can order psychical samples prior to placing your order? I’m not sure how other Long Island screen printing companies provide samples but at Benjamin Marc you can buy one piece before printing. Prior to placing an order we provide our clients an extensive sample catalog. From there our clients can pick out their clothing. The problem is with clothing you need to feel it and wear it to make the best decision. It is very hard to place a large quantity run without seeing a sample. We suggest to new clients that they buy a few different samples from various clothing brands to see what they like. If they place the order from us we deduct the cost of the sample when printing.

2- Do a Test Print. If you are really particular about your design a good option is to do a test print. It depends on the screen printer but often times they let you print 1 sample to see if you like the layout and the size of the design. Once it is printed you can proceed with a larger order.
3- Give Away. Give samples away to friends and family for feedback. See if they like wearing the clothing to help you gauge if you should commit to a large order. Screen printed clothing & apparel can be worn in business and personal settings so just make sure you like it enough to do both.
