Tips For Rebranding Your Logo
Redesign and rebranding a logo design can be challenging and time consuming. There are some logos that are timeless and can stay current for the life of a company and others that need some upgrades. Our hope with this article is that you receive tips for rebranding your logo to stay aesthetically chic. The first thing to do when thinking of redesigning your logo is to hire a creative agency for a consult. It is good to bounce your ideas with a professional to get the process started. Prior to your consulting we suggest that you have your color scheme already picked out.
Pick 3 colors that you like and want to use in your logo design. If you have a brick and mortar location that is designed and styled to your liking try to stay within that color scheme. Font selection is another important factor. There are so many fonts to choose from but try to narrow the style that fits you best. Sans Serif, Script, Traditional are a few.
The graphic design company you hire will take this feedback combined with other key factors to design the perfect logo. Some logo designs have a signature brand or icon that may be in need of an upgrade. If you have an idea in mind try to explain it the best you can to the company you are hiring. If you can sketch it out that will help as well. Even napkin drawings will do! lol. After your logo concept is complete here are some tips for rebranding.
Tips For Rebranding Your Logo
1- Test it!
Before even putting out online send it to friends, family, colleagues for feedback. Ask them not to sugar coat it as usually loved ones will do. Harsh criticism will go a long way. Take that feedback and ask your design team for revisions. Most graphic design agencies will give a few rounds of revisions that are included in the overall logo package.
2- Social It!
Once it passes to the next round our suggestion is to ask your social media followers opinions. Don’t add it to your profile just yet, post a photo and story to your platform seeking suggestions and advice from your fans. These can both be deleted after you are satisfied with their response. Apply all edits and revisions to your final logo. Once approved ask your designer for all files included the raw art file, fonts and RGB colors.
3- Brand It!
Now it’s time to put it out there. Update your website, blog, social media marketing, and anywhere else your brand is displayed.
We hope these tips for rebranding your logo has helped!
